From William' baptism register entry (see below) we know he was born on 31 July 1834.

From this and the baptism records of some of William' siblings, we know that his father, William Bagnall (senior) was a foundry worker who worked at times as an iron moulder.

Died February 1835, aged just 6 months

Sadly William died in infancy. he was buried at Wakefield on 1 March 1835, recorded in the parish burial register as his father William Bagnall's child, of Eastmoor.
