Edith Mary is listed aged 7, living at 108 Stanley Road with her parents William and Harriett and five of her siblings. Her seventh birthday fell on the very night of the census, 19 June 1921. She is recorded at school, entered on the schedule as "Mary Bagnall" with "Edith" added above the line.

Taken on the night of 19 June 1921. William was 47, still a builder and now an employer. Harriett was 46, recorded as doing home duties. Living with them at Moorvilla, 108 Stanley Road were six of their children, all unmarried: Marion Elizabeth (23), a Civil Service clerk at the tax office; John Henry (21, my Grandfather, a year before he marries Dorothy), a cinema manager working for "W Bagnall, Builder" - his own father's firm; Isabel (19), a clerk; Ronald George (13) and Arthur (10), both still at school; and Edith Mary (7), also at school. The household of 8 people occupied 6 rooms.

Died aged 21, the same year she was married - registered with the GRO as Edith M Tattersfield, Q2 1936, Wakefield, vol 9C page 9.

Buried 16 May 1936 in Alverthorpe, married name Tattersfield.

Arthur remarried after Edith's early death. His second wife Elizabeth (d. 1998) and a Jennie Tattersfield (1987-1990, presumably a grandchild) are commemorated on a separate, later family monument in the same cemetery, shown below.
